The Department of Civil Supplies has purchased a record 12.38 lakh tonnes of paddy from 1.54 lakh farmers so far this season, with a total payment of ₹1,129 crore made to the ryots.

The Commissioner stated that the department is committed to paying the remaining amount as soon as possible. “We are working tirelessly to resolve the technical issue and make the payment to the farmers,” he said.
