Chadha Alleges Harassment of Former AAP MPs by BJP-Ruled States

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha has met President Droupadi Murmu, alleging that several former AAP MPs who have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are facing harassment and coercive actions from state agencies.

Chadha, who is also a member of Parliament, made the allegations during his meeting with the President on Tuesday. He claimed that the BJP-ruled states were using their agencies to intimidate and coerce former AAP MPs who had switched sides to join the BJP.

“This is a clear case of harassment and intimidation,” Chadha said in a statement after the meeting. “The BJP-ruled states are using their agencies to target and threaten our party members who have joined the BJP. This is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”

Chadha alleged that several former AAP MPs who had joined the BJP were receiving threatening calls, messages, and emails from unknown numbers. He also claimed that some of these MPs were being followed by unidentified persons and their homes were being vandalized.

“These are serious allegations and we demand a full investigation into this matter,” Chadha said. “We will not let our party members face harassment and intimidation just because they have joined another party.”

The AAP leader also alleged that the BJP-ruled states were using their agencies to confiscate the passports of former AAP MPs who had joined the BJP. He claimed that this was a clear attempt to stop these MPs from traveling abroad for work or personal reasons.

“This is a clear case of harassment and intimidation,” Chadha said. “We demand that our party members be allowed to travel freely without any restrictions. This is their right as citizens of India.”

Chadha’s allegations have sparked a controversy in the Indian politics, with many questioning the motives behind his claims. However, the AAP leader has insisted that these are genuine allegations and that he will not back down.

“We will not let our party members face harassment and intimidation,” Chadha said. “We will take all necessary steps to protect our party members and ensure their safety.”

The BJP has denied Chadha’s allegations, saying that they were “baseless” and “without any substance”. However, the AAP leader has refused to back down, insisting that these are genuine allegations and that he will not let his party members face harassment and intimidation.

As the controversy continues to unfold, many are watching with bated breath to see how this situation plays out. One thing is certain – Raghav Chadha’s allegations have sparked a firestorm in Indian politics, and it remains to be seen what the outcome will be.
